Question: my computer will only play sound on windows media player but not on the internet like youtube for example

Answer:  That is usually an association issue
First sugestion would be to try another browser (Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome) if the sound works in them then take a look at MSIE, it may need to be repaired.. if this is the case call Microsoft Tech support (it's free)
